Episode Three
Back to the Modern World
Singapore is the fourth richest country in Southeast Asia. Part of the Malay Peninsula, Singapore became independent in 1965, establishing itself as a reputable financial and regional trading centre over the years.
The ordinary-day temperature is around 35 degrees as the city-island is an-hour distance from the equator.
It took me around 10 hours by bus to reach Singapore from K.L., Malaysia.
For the first time in a month spent trying to blend into Asian culture, I felt like I was heading back to the Modern World.
I felt like I was finally heading back home.
