MALAYSIA
The Farmer

Hot and unbearable air is the most overwhelmed welcome Kuala Lumpur gave me.

From that moment on, that place would have become my new "home" for the following two months. Throughout this time I have learnt how to adapt myself in a world where a pale skinned red-head with green eyes Western-type-of girl could not fully fit.

A world where Respect and Sharing are values that I had to develop further.

A world deep-rooted in traditions and morals which are slowly disappearing in developed countries such as Europe and America.

There are currently three different ethnic groups in Malaysia: Malay, Chinese and Indian, with around five different practised religions. And they all harmoniously coexist, respecting each other in a way I would never imagine.

Many locals still get by working in the fields as their physical strength is the only thing they can offer.
