Four OCD sufferers come together to tell how their minds work and what it feels to live a life stuck in one’s own thoughts.
Through the power of movement and music, four dancers will guide us through the sufferers’ personal journey of self-discovery, diving into their vulnerability and fears while also coming to terms with uncertainty and trying to find peace in their chaos.

Director’s Statement:
My first OCD thought occured when I was 7 years old. Since then my life has been a spiral of intrusive and invasive thoughts that would latch onto me too tightly, making me question who I was and what I wanted. I was finally diagnosed with OCD in 2019. Despite being in remission for several years now, the journey has been a rollercoaster to say the least - long, painful and never linear. With this film, I want to show that we’re not defined by our thoughts; that we are our worst enemy, but there’s always a way out of the darkness our mind creates.
The Experience:
CHAOS+ORDER aims to be a liberating and educational experience for those who watch it. Suffering from OCD means to have yourself as your own worst enemy and fight a constant battle - invisible to others - against your mind. This short documentary will start as a scream for help, and it will end with a sense of freedom and acceptance towards the body and mind. A sense of long-lasting peace and lightness that the main characters will eventually have achieved with time, kindness and patience because the road to recovery, even if possible, is never linear nor easy.
